A verified corona patient stayed at a hotel in Eilat – until he was apprehended by police officers who removed him from the city and gave him a report in the amount of NIS 5,000. “The police are acting at real risk to their health and all with the aim of protecting public peace,” the police said.

The patient was located while spending three days at the Club Hotel in the city. Immediately upon receiving the report, YSM police officers arrived at his room in protective suits and ordered him to leave the scene and return to solitary confinement. The fighters escorted the patient and his family to their vehicle and fined them.
“As part of the fight against the spread of the corona virus, Israeli police officers are working to locate verified patients who violate the conditions of isolation and roam the public space at real risk of catching and spreading the disease and endangering the general public,” the police said. “The police are acting at real risk to their health and all with the aim of protecting public peace.”
