MIDDELBURG – The KNMI has issued code orange in the province of Zeeland from Saturday 9 a.m. to Sunday 4 p.m. due to the ongoing heat wave. Code orange has also been issued in the provinces of Limburg, Gelderland and Noord-Brabant.

In the coming days, there will be continued heat across the country. From Saturday it can become extremely hot, especially in the south and southeast, with maximum temperatures of 35 ° C or slightly above. The nights are also gradually getting warmer, with minimums above 18 ° C from night to Sunday. The National Heat Plan of the RIVM has already started on Thursday.

The very hot weather is likely to last until the middle of next week.
