Ness Ziona Municipal Basketball Club announced this morning (Wednesday) the signing of Brad Greenberg to the position of coach for the upcoming season.
The 66-year-old Greenberg is a well-known name in Israeli basketball, when he coached Maccabi Haifa in the 2012/13 season, with whom he won the championship and the title of coach of the season. The following season he coached at Hapoel Jerusalem, and after several seasons in Europe, Greenberg signed at Maccabi Ashdod in 2017/18 – where he coached for two and a half years. Starting in 2019, Greenberg also serves as the assistant coach of the Canadian national team, which participated in the last World Cup. Club chairman Yaniv Mizrahi: “I am very happy that Brad has joined our club. “Brad is an experienced coach who knows the league, and I believe he will help us achieve the team’s goals.”
Greenberg: “It’s great to be part of Ness Ziona. The team has a strong reputation for professionalism, and I have always been impressed by its dedicated fans. I have high hopes that a team will be built that the city can be proud of. “In addition, assistant coach Lior Keret, who joined the team during the Corona break, will continue to be Brad’s assistant for the upcoming season.
