FC Twente is busy bringing in players, but players from the Tukkers are also being drawn. For example, first goalkeeper Joël Drommel has long been coveted by several clubs.

Technical director Jan Streuer does not warm or cold about this. “I am not too concerned about that”, Streuer tells 1Twente. “If there is a club, we will hear. But in principle he should just stay, unless something very special comes. Then you never know of course, but then it must be very interesting.”

Drommel turned a strong year last season and that generated the necessary interest. Clubs have even reported to FC Twente. “Yes, there are. But I didn’t think they were that serious, I must say. I prefer not to mention names,” said Streuer. Club Brugge, Hertha BSC, Union Berlin, FC Augsburg and VfB Stuttgart would have Drommel on the radar. AZ was also linked to the first goalkeeper of FC Twente.
