Onyeka is a 1.83 meter box-to-box, who played an important part in his club’s Danish league title last season. He is currently sharing the dressing room with Dion Cools, who exchanged Club Brugge for Denmark during the previous winter break. One problem: Atyeka is currently still too expensive for Club.
Blue and Black would have made an offer of around 3.5 million euros on Onyeka, but Midtjylland reportedly wants at least eight to ten million euros for their strongholder, an amount that Club will never count and also well above the market value of the player. Onyeka took his first steps in European football at Midtjylland, which took him away in Nigeria in 2016. The fact that reinforcements are still being sought at the position of central midfielder is quite striking given the presence of Vormer, Rits and Balanta.
Club Brugge announced additional compensation for subscribers, who cannot follow the matches through corona in the stadium. For example, all subscribers watch all matches of Club Brugge and the rest of 1A, 1B and the Women’s Super League on television for free until the end of the season.
