The strikers of Club Brugge can (currently) anything but convince. The very young Badji fell against Antwerp, Okereke did not do much better and Krmencik was even in the stands during the cup final. Time for a new striker for Club Brugge? Or will Clement continue to trust his current attackers?
A few weeks ago, Vincent Mannaert announced that Club Brugge was inquiring about Jhon Cordoba. However, the Colombian striker of FC Köln turned out to be too expensive for Blauw-Zwart, so the people of Bruges shifted their sights. Meanwhile, the German reports Kicker that Cordoba will not renew his contract with FC Köln, and that he will leave the club next summer.
Because of Cordoba’s transfer wish, it seems likely that Cologne will let his attacker leave for a lower amount than before. With Wolverhampton and Sheffield United, two solid hijackers are on the coast for Blue-Black, although it is still unclear whether Mannaert will make another attempt for the 27-year-old attacker.
