Bramati: “Remco is okay, but the bad luck can now stop” | Tour of Lombardy

Remco Evenepoel must have imagined his first monument differently. The defeat in the Deceuninck-Quick Step camp was therefore great, first with sports director Davide Bramati, who was the first of the team, and then with his team mates.

Moments later, an emotional Bramati spoke to Sporza. “We hadn’t seen the fall ourselves, only heard about it on the race radio. When we saw that Remco’s data had stopped, we thought it was him.”

“When we got there, I only saw his bike. A bike without a rider, that’s not a pleasant sight. I immediately walked down and quickly saw that he was fine. He could speak and said he had pain on his right side. . ”

“He is now in the hospital, together with the doctor, Patrick (Lefevere) and his family. I think it will be okay. But the bad luck may stop now for us.”
