Also corona infection at Jumbo location in Breda: thirteen employees at home

An employee of the Jumbo at the Dr. Struyckenplein in Breda, the corona virus has been diagnosed. The supermarket chain confirmed this on Friday.

According to spokeswoman Maartje Rothuizen, it concerns one staff member who has tested positive for the corona virus. Yet twelve other employees are still in home quarantine as a precaution. They have no complaints at the moment.

“We have emphasized once again with all employees that they stay at home with complaints and have themselves tested immediately,” says Rothuizen. If someone is nevertheless tested positive, the GGD will conduct a contact investigation just like anyone else.

According to the spokeswoman, there are no problems in the planning of the staff in the Breda location. This is resolved within the store with the other employees. It is unclear whether Jumbo will have staff work in several stores to replace the employees who have left.

On Thursday it became clear that some employees at a Jumbo branch in Wouw on the Kloosterstraat are also infected with the corona virus. The supermarket chain has not disclosed how many employees are involved.
