David Neres participated for the first time on Tuesday in a party game at the training of Ajax. The Brazilian has been sidelined for nine months due to a persistent knee injury.

Neres last played at Chelsea – Ajax, the crazy match that ended in 4-4 and in which he sustained a serious knee injury. Neres’s recovery did not go as planned. The agile wing attacker always had to deal with a setback, forcing him to pass up the rest of last season.

On Tuesday, Neres finally participated in a party game again. For this he always let that go. The question is when Neres will play a match for Ajax again. The exhibition match against FC Utrecht next Thursday seems to come too early for him in any case. The competition starts for Ajax on September 13 with an away match in Rotterdam at Sparta.
