Barça eliminated Napoli in the eighth finals of the billion dollar ball, while Bayern was stronger than Chelsea. Now the two European superpowers competed for a place in the semi-finals of the Champions League, but it was only a battle for a short time.
It would culminate in a historic evening for both parties. Bayern Müchen caused the opponent, with De Jong and Suárez in the base, a great humiliation. It became 2-8 for Bayern in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. The only bright spot of the evening was a good goal from the Uruguayan, but then it was long overdue. Thus, Bayern Munich will play against Manchester City or Olympique Lyon in the semi-finals. Those clubs will fight out on Saturday who will continue.

In the quarter finals of the Europa League, Sevilla played against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday-evening. The Spanish team was missing Nemanja Gudelj in the match selection. The former Ajax player contracted the corona virus two weeks ago and had not yet recovered enough to be allowed to play. Without Gudelj, Sevilla had to qualify for the semi-finals of the Europa League at the expense of Wolverhampton Wanderers and that worked. In a football fight, there seemed to be no winner in regular time, but a goal in the final phase qualified Gudelj’s team for the semi-finals.

The same Boilesen was even allowed to start in the base, while Fosu-Mensah remained on the bench at Manchester United.
The glasses position remained on the board for a long time, even for the full 90 minutes. Ultimately, United needed a penalty in extra time to pass FC Copenhagen. The final score was 1-0.
