AB InBev now also offers the province of Flemish Brabant recycled water: “We want to do our bit”

The heat wave and persistent drought make water very precious. AB InBev previously opted to make its recycled water available to the city of Leuven and farmers. Now the province of Flemish Brabant will also follow. The recycled water comes from the Stella Artois brewery in Leuven and is purified in AB InBev’s own water treatment plant.

The Leuven brewery wants to give something back to its environment. “Water is very important for brewing beer, because without water there is no beer. We want to contribute to our environment by making our treated waste water available, ”says brewery director Alexander Soenen. “In this way we can ensure that people who are looking for peace and quiet in provincial areas can enjoy the beautiful greenery on warm days”.
