Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra rumors

A whole series of rumors has appeared about the suspected Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. In addition to high-end hardware, this device from the Chinese manufacturer also gets some interesting gadgets on board. It is unknown when we will see the device exactly. In this article, we’ve listed five things we think we already know for you.

1.120x zoom with Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra

Suspected marketing images of the new Xiaomi device have appeared, which also shows the back. There we see a large camera set-up of four cameras. The images also show ‘120X’ on the top camera, which indicates 120x zoom.

This involves digital zoom, which quickly degrades the quality of the photo taken. How much optical zoom the Mi 10 Ultra will get is still unknown. With that type of zoom, no quality is lost. With this smartphone and 120x zoom, Xiaomi is raising the bar just a bit higher. The Galaxy S20 Ultra from Samsung has 100x zoom on board. However, that is a gimmick and Samsung scaled that back to 50x on the recently announced Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

2. Ceramic and transparent variant

In addition to marketing images, a photo has also appeared of the presumed packaging of the device. On the basis of these pictures, three variants are discussed that differ in appearance. Xiaomi, for example, would have plans to release a ceramic variant. This material is much more scratch resistant than metal, plastic or hardened glass.

We also see a transparent variant, through which you can see the hardware of the phone. Whether it really is a transparent back or a sticker behind the glass housing is still unknown. Finally, the manufacturer would also like to release a completely silver-colored variant.

3. Most expensive variant will receive 16GB RAM and 512GB storage

Several variants are expected of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. The entry-level model gets 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. According to sources, a version will also be released with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Do you want a device with more memory? That is also no problem with the Mi 10 Ultra, because a 12GB / 256GB model is also coming on the market. The absolute top variant gets a whopping 16GB RAM, assisted by 512GB internal storage.

4. Charging with 120 Watt and other specifications

Various rumors about the Mi 10’s fast charging option are also circulating. For example, the device could be charged with 100 or even 120 Watts via a cable. Wireless charging is also available with a maximum of 55 watts. These techniques are still in their infancy and belong to the next generation of smartphones.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra

The battery will probably have a capacity of 4500mAh and the screen will be 6.67 inches. This is an amoled variant, in which the colors splash off the screen. The resolution has not yet been mentioned, but it may be the same as the Mi 10 Pro and thus 2340 by 1080 pixels. The upcoming device will also get a new fingerprint scanner behind the screen, Hi-res audio and advanced technology to ensure good heat dissipation.

5. Price and availability

We don’t know anything about the price and availability of the device yet. The Mi 10 Pro had a suggested retail price of 999 euros, which means that a higher price is expected for the Mi 10 Ultra. Xiaomi itself has not said anything about an upcoming event, where we might see this device.
