112 Barneveld – Police are looking for two scooter riders after serious accident with cyclist in Renswoude


RENSWOUDE – In the evening of Saturday, August 8, a female cyclist was seriously injured in an accident on Utrechtseweg. There is some evidence that other people were involved in the cyclist’s fall, who may have acted intentionally. The police are urgently looking for people who know more about the events that led to the accident.

On a warm Saturday evening, a woman and a man cycled on the Utrechtseweg in Renswoude. At around 7:45 PM, an accident occurred in which the 41-year-old woman fell and was injured. She was taken to hospital in a critical condition and is still in danger of death.

After the accident there were several witnesses who stayed close to the victim. There are also witnesses who were in the area around the accident, but who have not yet been able to speak to the police. They may have been involved in causing the fall, or they may have seen what preceded it. These include four people who rode two scooters. Anyone who has more information about Saturday night’s events is urged to report to the police.
