Durable Mahagna (Shahar Gross)
Hapoel Tel Aviv is currently holding its second preparation game for the Toto Cup and the opening season, after surrendering 2: 1 to Bnei Yehuda in the first meeting. This time, Nir Klinger’s boys’ rival is the humble Hapoel Kfar Shalem, which was promoted to the national league from the first division last season. The game is broadcast live on Channel ONE and on the website.
The Reds, who finished last season in fifth place in the top playoffs of the Premier League, surrendered to Bnei Yehuda only three days ago, in a meeting in which Raz Shlomo scored an own goal and Eli Tamem only managed to temporarily balance his team.
On the other hand, for the Oranges it is a test of tools for the upcoming season in which they will at least try to stay in the sub-league, and who knows – maybe even more than that. The team finished last season in the First Division South with 50 points after 23 games, four points more than Hapoel Marmorek who finished second and is still struggling to return to the national team.
Minute 1, the referee set the game in motion.
10th minute, first real opportunity for Hapoel Tel Aviv: Amid Mahagna first reached the orange pitch and hit, but his experience went over Omar Egozi’s crossbar.
14th minute, an interesting attempt by Omri Altman: The Reds’ attacking player approached a free kick from a distance and from a difficult angle, everyone expected a raise and Egozi was outside the goal, but Altman went for a kick. Luckily for the goalkeeper, he came back in time.
22 minutes, Altman with another attempt: A player from Hapoel Tel Aviv tried to surprise Egozi from a distance, but the goalkeeper was there and caught the ball with both hands.
38 minutes, Hapoel Tel Aviv almost won: Altman again signed the attempt, when he snatched a ball in the area of the halfway line and kicked an archery ball towards the goal after recognizing that Egozi was far from the line, but the Reds player’s attempt went a little frame and went out.
45th minute, Altman’s fourth attempt of the game: the midfielder kicked off the field and tried to find Egozi’s corner with a flat ball, but it went out of bounds.
