The purpose of the UNIFAL investigation is to understand who these people were who the IDF fired at them – whether they were armed or not and what means the IDF fired to use to smuggle them. He infiltrated Israeli or IDF territory and fired into Lebanese territory.
The UNIFIL team is in constant contact with officials in Israel and Lebanon, and it can be estimated that they pose questions to both sides.
UNIFIL’s official Twitter account reported that “following the events near the ‘Blue Line’ (Israel-Lebanon border, N.D.), an investigation was opened to determine the facts and circumstances. The investigation is being carried out in parallel with the media conducted by the UNIFIL commander, Stefano de Cole, with both sides, with the aim of calming the situation, reducing the situation and preventing escalation. ”

The IDF has documentation of the attempted infiltration, but the photographs have not yet been distributed to the media. The squad was under observation throughout the incident and from the moment a fire broke out, the squad members tried to return to Lebanon.
