Turning despite lower skills
Having formal teaching skills is often highlighted as the key to a school’s success. But in the case of Klingsborgsskolan, the proportion of qualified licensed teachers (57%) is below the national average (70%) and the learning density is only slightly higher than the national average.
– Considering the school’s previous reputation, we realized that we have come to the end of the road when it comes to recruiting licensed teachers, says principal Hans Sandberg.
– Instead, we have been looking for committed young people with a desire to develop and a leadership we believe in. And if we work together, it has made a difference for us, says principal Johannes Bulkay.
