Three most important points: This is how school results were raised

The high school affiliation of the students went from 40% in 2018 to76% the following year. The national average is 84%. Here, the principals Johannes Bulkay and Hans Sandberg list the three most important measures that made the school results stand out.

Turning despite lower skills

Having formal teaching skills is often highlighted as the key to a school’s success. But in the case of Klingsborgsskolan, the proportion of qualified licensed teachers (57%) is below the national average (70%) and the learning density is only slightly higher than the national average.

– Considering the school’s previous reputation, we realized that we have come to the end of the road when it comes to recruiting licensed teachers, says principal Hans Sandberg.

– Instead, we have been looking for committed young people with a desire to develop and a leadership we believe in. And if we work together, it has made a difference for us, says principal Johannes Bulkay.
