The Ministry of Emergency Situations spoke about the situation in the flooded city of Nizhnie Sergi in the Urals


The water left the flooded houses in the town of Nizhnie Sergi, Sverdlovsk region, where an emergency regime was introduced due to the flood. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

“On the morning of July 21 in the city of Nizhniye Sergi, water left the flooded houses … According to the updated information, 63 residential houses, in which 189 people live, and 4 administrative buildings, were flooded,” the message says.

As noted, the flow of flood waters damaged the pylons of power lines, destroyed three pedestrian and one road bridge, as well as three houses.

Five people were evacuated, the rest of the residents left their homes on their own thanks to timely notification. There are no casualties, the department informed.

At present, emergency and recovery work is underway in the city, teams of power engineers are taking measures to restore the power supply.
