The investigation qualified the attacks on the head of the “E” center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia, Ibragim Eldzharkiev, as a terrorist act. This was announced by the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin.
He stated that the first attack on Eldzharkiev took place in Ingushetia. As a result of the emergency, a law enforcement representative died.
The second attack took place in Moscow a few months later. Bastrykin recalled that Eldzharkiev was shot at the playground along with his brother.
“Based on the evidence painstakingly collected in a difficult operational environment, the investigation qualified the attacks last week as acts of terrorism committed by members of the terrorist community created in the republic,” he said in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
In December 2019, a Moscow court arrested the 12th person involved in the murder of Eldzharkiev.
On November 2, 2019, in the west of Moscow, the head of the “E” center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia and his brother were killed in an armed attack.
