The first serial frigate of project 22350 “Admiral Kasatonov” became part of the Russian Navy. This was announced by the representative of the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Russian Ministry of Defense for the Navy, Captain 1st Rank Igor Dygalo.

“By order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, the newest frigate of project 22350” Admiral Kasatonov “was accepted into the Navy,” RIA Novosti Dygalo quotes.
He said that “the ceremony of accepting the ship into the composition and raising the Andreevsky flag on it took place on the roadstead of the Neva, where the ship came to participate in the main naval parade.”
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in the laying of landing ships at the Zaliv plant in Kerch.
