Sia about her friendship with Kardashians: “I feel very safe with them” NOW

Sia has benefited from her friendship with the Kardashians, she says on Monday Karson & Kennedy Talk With Famous People. The singer, who has suffered from depression and panic attacks in the past, felt “very safe” with the reality stars.

The Australian singer met Kim Kardashian after working on the song with Jennifer Lopez Limitless, that Kim helped promote. After working hard to recover from “many complex PTSD traumas,” Sia felt a warm welcome from the reality star and her sisters Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian.

Kim Kardashian is really protective

“I love those girls,” said the 44-year-old singer. “I only met them a few years ago, but the last few years have been difficult … I literally didn’t leave my house for three years, except on Sunday when I went to the Sunday Service of Kanye West (West Church Service, ed.) was because the vocals were so incredibly beautiful. When I met them, I felt safe. It was so weird to me that I felt safe. ”

“After mass, we sometimes went to Kourtney’s house to swim and hang out, and I felt really secure,” says Sia. “And Kim was really protective too. When she thought someone in their group of friends was trying to ask me for a selfie or trying to get their kids to FaceTime with me, she was extremely defensive. I was so shocked and grateful too.”

Depressions, addiction and panic attacks

Sia has never made it a secret in the past that her mental health was not always well. For example, she suffered from depression, was addicted to painkillers and alcohol, and had to cancel several promotional events and shows in 2010 due to her ill health. She suffered from panic attacks and considered stopping performing and touring.

She later stated that she had been diagnosed with Graves’ disease, an autoimmune disease characterized by an overactive thyroid gland. Her health improved due to rest and thyroid hormone replacement therapy. In 2019, the artist revealed that she suffers from Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a collective term for a rare group of hereditary connective tissue disorders.
