TURIN – The number 201 derby for Juventus begins with Gigi Buffon who becomes the most present ever in Serie A with 648 games (celebrated with the number written on the sleeve of all his companions), and ends in the same way, with a 4-1 that momentarily projects the bianconeri to +7 on Lazio and +11 on Inter. The goalkeeper is the only change from Marassi’s victory, given that Rabiot won the ballot with Matuidi: presumably by virtue of his greater dribbling skills, valuable in a game whose script foresees Juventus to attack. Longo does not seem to want to adapt to this script, choosing the more technical Lukic in midfield instead of Rincon and deploying Verdi and Berenguer behind Belotti, while Lyanco is in surprise defense instead of N’Koulou.
Whatever Longo’s ideas were, Dybala sent them on tilt together with the grenade defense in two minutes and change: Lyanco dribbled, movement to return on Izzo and left placed towards the second pole, even more lethal for the deviation of the grenade. If nothing else, the Bull already has a fairly offensive set-up and does not accuse the blow: he actually tries to react, gaining corner kicks and reaching the quarter of an hour with 54 percent of possession. Juve stung on the counterattack, with Ronaldo giving a show in the spaces and engaging Sirigu in the 19 ‘, before inspiring Bernardeschi with an overhead kick. Instead, it takes inspiration from Cuadrado, when at 29 ‘he closes a counterattack opened by Dybala and built by CR7 with 40 meters of escape ball and chain and an external touch for the Colombian: dribbling outwards on Lyanco, diagonal and 2 -0. Verdi immediately builds up the chance to reopen the game, but on his left-footed lap enters the birthday boy who flies to deflect. Turin, however, has the merit of not leaving the game, Juventus the demerit of not crushing him (underlined by Sarri who asks several times to defend higher) and in recovery a shot by Berenguer that bounces first on the side and then on the wide arm De Ligt rewards the grenade: Belotti’s penalty and goal just before the break.
Neither the quarter of an hour’s break nor Matuidi’s entry for Pjanic in the 3 ‘however serve Sarri to wake up Juve, who in the 5’ gives a counterattack on which Buffon first says no to Verdi and then the offside of Belotti, which hits the crossbar on the rebound, defeats Verdi’s winning tap again. The Juventus coach now inserts “the lethal weapon” Douglas Costa and the Brazilian immediately touches the far post with a left-footed shot from the right. Instead touches the crossbar Ronaldo on a free kick in the 15 ‘(hands of Aina on Danilo’s shot) and touches it on the right side: first goal on a free-kick for the Portuguese champion and distance restored. Longo plays the Millico card, the Bull does not give up and at 20 ‘Belotti asks for a penalty because Cuadrado falling on the ground after jumping in front of him hits him with the heel on the calf, but neither Maresca (near) nor the Var judge the foul contact. It is the penultimate grenade start before an Ivy shot saved by Buffon, while Juve closes forward and in the 41 ‘finds the 4-1 with a Djidji’s own goal on a Douglas Costa cross: seventh consecutive championship victory (fourth from the second half) with the only flaw in the yellow cards that will force Dybala and De Ligt to jump for Tuesday’s Milan-Juventus suspension.
