While US President Donald Trump has been insisting that the country return to normal despite the recent record numbers in the country, the document that the White House Kovid-19 Task Force warned some states leaked to the press.
According to the document in question, the White House has declared them “the red zone”, taking into account case increases in 18 states.
The document warned states in the red region to stop the normalization process, re-close bars and gyms, and ban more than 10 people from gathering.
The states in question are listed as Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nevada, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Utah.
Devin O’Malley, Spokesperson for US Vice President Mike Pence, confirmed the existence of the document in question, saying it was one of the documents the Kovid-19 Struggle Against sent to the states on a weekly basis.
