Severe clashes broke out this evening (Saturday night) between police and protesters who came up to protest against Prime Minister Netanyahu’s conduct in the Corona crisis.
Some of the demonstrators broke through the police checkpoints, started the march and even reached the back of the prime minister’s residence.

The demonstrators in the area of the Paris Square junction tried to march in the direction of the city center while one of them was seen waving a PLO flag apparently in order to stir it up, and it was lowered. Police forces deployed there, prevented the procession from taking place.
“The Israel Police allows the continuation of the protest now at the intersection of Paris Square, but will not allow a violation of public order and disruption of routine life and public peace,” the police said.
Hundreds of people attended a protest event in Charles Clore Park in Tel Aviv and blocked Rothschild Boulevard in the city. Police cavalry were called to the scene. The commander of the police force announced to the demonstrators: “The demonstration is illegal, I give you a reasonable time to disperse. We will act with the necessary force, including arrests and means to disperse demonstrations.”
