On March 16, Norway closed its borders to minimize the spread of the coronavirus. Three months later, on 15 June, Norway opened its borders to other Nordic countries, except Sweden.

On 15 July, the Norwegian travel ban was updated when the Norwegian government decided that trips to or from Blekinge, Kronoberg or Skåne once again have the green light.

On Friday 25 July – just over a month later – the Norwegian government will also give the go-ahead for travel to or from Kalmar, Östergötland, Örebro and Värmland.

The new travel rules apply from midnight.
