The most interesting teaser (which is added to the one at the beginning of the month) is a video in which you can see the electric crossover coupe in action first on the snow and then on a normal road. From the video it is however possible to see some elements of the design typical of crossovers and which recall those of the concept car. Furthermore, LED headlights with a slim design stand out. On the technical front, however, there are no particular innovations. Nissan did not want to share more information than what is known today.
Ariya will be based on a new platform explicitly designed for electric vehicles which will also be used by the other members of the Alliance, namely Renault and Mitsubishi. It will have a double electric motor and therefore all-wheel drive, a technology that the Japanese brand has talked about several times in recent months. Certainly there will be latest generation ADAS solutions (ProPilot 2.0) and a lot of technology. All that remains is to wait for the presentation of the new electric model to find out more.
The event, remember, will be broadcast in digital form. A choice dictated, of course, by current health problems that prevent the launch of the “old-fashioned” launch. The presentation will be attended by some of the company’s top management, including the new CEO Makoto Uchida.
