The measures announced are “very aligned with all expectations” health professionals, believes Nicole Notat who reserved her first reaction to franceinfo. “The challenge now will be to ensure that they are implemented and that the execution is there” so that the health service is “really the public service that France dreams and needs”, she said.
The measures resulting from the “Ségur de la Santé” will bring “a real change of culture in the public service”, assures Nicole Notat. The Minister of Health Olivier Véran notably promised the creation of 4,000 beds “on demand” in the hospital. “These are actions that are much more structural, in-depth changes”, explains the former head of the CFDT, of which 33 proposals concerning the general organization of the healthcare system were retained by Olivier Véran.
Nicole Notat says she has no doubts about the upcoming implementation of the measures announced “because I saw” did she say, “a very convinced minister, very determined to make all this happen”, she explains. “Above all, I have seen players in the field, the various institutions, the establishments themselves who are impatiently waiting for us to give them room for maneuver”.
