Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé and Roadster receive a modest update (2020)

With 730 hp, the new Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series is a monster. The gap with the entry-level version of the AMG GT Coupé, which with 476 hp is also not particularly lacking in power, is therefore quite large. Mercedes is now changing that: the power of the 4.0 V8 with two turbos is now increased to 530 hp. This means that the AMG GT S, which is 522 hp strong, is canceled. The Roadster gets the same upgrade.

AMG Ride Control suspension with adaptive dampers is now part of standard equipment, along with an electronic limited slip differential, firmer brakes, and a Race riding mode. Steering wheels are optional on the basic version from now on, provided you choose the AMG Dynamic Plus package. A dark Night Edition package is also making its appearance. In November the upgraded basic versions will be available at the dealer.
