Maccabi Netanya announced this morning (Sunday) the official release of midfielder Roi Kehat, who will leave the team after one season. As you may recall, Kehat was asked to cut 50% of his salary and refused to do so, which led the club to inform him that he is not in the professional plans for the upcoming season. The contact had contacts with several groups, including Kiryat Shmona, when the amount of compensation from Netanya separated him from the signing and now, after the parties have already reached an agreement, it seems that the move to Kobi Refuah’s group is paved.
“The club would like to thank Roi for finding the quick and good solution for both sides and wish the player great success along the way,” reads the official announcement of Maccabi Netanya.
In fact, the only player who has not yet reached an agreement with the club is Guy Melamed, who these days is not allowed to train with the other players and his agents are trying to find him a team. The striker is receiving a lot of interest from Hapoel Haifa and is appreciated by coach Haim Sylves, but his agents are focusing on finding a team abroad for him.
