Likud punishments: Shasha Bitton will be fired, MKs will not be able to submit bills


The Likud faction imposed sanctions on Knesset members who did not vote against the law banning conversion therapy. The faction’s chairman and coalition chairman, Mickey Zohar, informed the punished Knesset members that they would not be able to submit laws until the end of the session, and ministers said they would receive more plenary shifts in relation to what they were required to do.

Those punished in the Likud are: Among the ministers – Yoav Galant, Israel Katz, Eli Cohen, Ofir Akunis, Amir Ohana. Among the Knesset members – Yifat Shasha Bitton, Shlomo Karai, Keren Barak, Sharan Hashakel, Avi Dichter, Uzi Dayan, Michal Shir.

MK Dr. Shlomo Karai, Likud, in response to the sanction that Mickey Zohar is trying to impose on him, despite being offset by the faction’s approval: “Mickey is acting in a false and manipulative way to promote the” Net Mickey Zohar “program. To achieve, contrary to Likud values, it is passed on to him. A little modesty will not hurt him. He is splitting the Likud faction, harming the Likud and the prime minister and should go home now. I will not allow him to harm my activities for the citizens of Israel. ”

MK Ayelet Shaked was quick to back Shasha Bitton: “In this bad coalition, until finally someone does a good job for the public, without panic, they are fired. We value strong women. ”

As you may recall, about a week ago, a bill was introduced by Merav Michaeli banning conversion therapies as psychological therapies. Blue and white voted in favor of the law and caused a serious coalition crisis with the ultra-Orthodox. Gafni and Deri were angry with the Likud, after 13 Knesset members did not attend the vote, and the law was passed thanks to that as well.
