British driver Lewis Hamilton will start from pole position in the Styrian Formula 1 Grand Prix, scheduled for Sunday afternoon at the Red Bull Ring circuit in Spielberg, Austria, where the first race of the season was run last week. In Saturday’s qualifying, first postponed and then heavily affected by the rain, the Mercedes world champion preceded Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and McLaren’s Spaniard Carlos Sainz. Ferrari, however, is still in difficulty: Sebastian Vettel will start tenth, four positions ahead of teammate Charles Leclerc, eleventh time in qualifying but penalized for hindering an Alpha Tauri. Even in conditions completely opposite to those of a week ago, the two Italian single seaters have not been able to keep up with the fastest.
