Lap 1/71 Hamilton holds 1st position, Sainz attacks Verstappen!
GREEN LIGHT! The Styria 2020 GP has started!
15.12 Drivers lined up on the starting grid… Here we are…
15.11 With the averages also the Alfa Romeo, Kvyat and Latifi. Soft for everyone else.
15.11 Ferrari differentiates strategies. Vettel shoots with the medium, Leclerc more aggressive with the soft.
15.11 The top seven on the grid have soft tires, while Daniel Ricciardo (who is eighth) starts with the middle.
15.10 TOUR OF RECOGNITION! Soft tires for Hamilton, Bottas, Verstappen and Sainz.
15.09 The temperature is cool, 19 degrees.
15.08 A great start from Leclerc and Vettel is needed. Positions must be earned immediately.
15.05 Five minutes per reconnaissance lap… The tension is growing. Verstappen is hot, ready to attack Hamilton. He wants to win, he has blood in his eyes …
15.03 There will be 71 laps to go, just like a week ago.

14.59 In a few moments we will know the tires mounted by the drivers.
14.57 Horner a Sky: “Max will try on the first lap, but Hamilton has a very strong car. We will have to take advantage of the opportunities. Reliability, strategy and speed are the three cards to win“.
14.56 A typical Austrian song was played.
14.55 Are you incurable optimists and want to bet on Ferrari’s victory? Charles Leclerc is listed at 50, Sebastian Vettel at 75 (despite starting 4 positions ahead …). Best wishes!
14:53 Let’s not underestimate Bottas, winner 7 days ago. If he got rid of Sainz immediately, he would become the third inconvenient between Hamilton and Verstappen.
14.49 Today the only anti-Mercedes is Max Verstappen. Can he really win? He is certainly the only one who can try. It will be more aggressive than ever!
14.48 On paper, Ferrari’s realistic goal is to bring both drivers into the points zone. A sixth / seventh place should be welcomed. Then we have already learned that miracles exist … Dreaming costs nothing.
14.46 The cars are going to be placed on the starting grid.
14.44 Hamilton has not won in Austria since 2016. Since then he has not even been on the podium since. Will it be the right time today?
14.40 Carlos Sainz will start from third place and can bring McLaren back to winning a Grand Prix, a feat missing from Brazil 2012.
14:35 For the first time ever, a Grand Prix is named after an administrative region such as Styria: before, it had only happened with Nations, cities (for example Las Vegas), Continents (Europe) and even Oceans (Pacific).
14.27 Hamilton also points to another record: after having already triumphed in the ’00s and in the’ 10s of the 21st century, aims for the first victory in the 1920s and would thus become the second driver to have conquered at least one race in three different decades after the legendary Jack Brabham (’50-’60-’70).
14.23 Lewis Hamilton chases victory in the 24th different Grand Prix, the standard bearer of Mercedes already leads this special ranking since he is the only one to have put the seal in 23 different appointments.
14.19 Since the qualifications were carried out in the rain, today the drivers will be able to freely choose which tires to mount at the start.
14.18 Today the sun shines at Zeltweg, but the temperatures are much lower than the free practice on Friday. Almost all teams should make one pit stop.
14.16 Romain Grosjean (Haas) will start from the pit lane. So Antonio Giovinazzi immediately gains a position and will start 19th.

14.15 The Styrian GP has never been run and, for the first time in history, two races will be held on the same circuit in the same season. This scenario will also happen again in Silverstone in a few weeks, with the British GP and the 70th Anniversary GP.
14.07 Suspension problems for Mercedes. Wolff ordered the pilots to carefully avoid the curbs. Could reliability be the great enemy of the Black Arrows today?
14.03 Lewis Hamilton will start from pole position, the # 89 of his career. He will have to guard against a hungry Max Verstappen, more determined than ever to play every possible card to aim for victory.
14.00 Antonio Giovinazzi will start from the last position to replace the gearbox of his Alfa Romeo.

13.55 Good morning friends of OA Sport and welcome to the Live broadcast of the Styria 2020 F1 GP!
The starting grid after the penalty in Giovinazzi
Good morning friends of OA Sport and welcome to Diretta Live of the Styria 2020 GP of F1. It competes in Zeltweg for the second consecutive week. Seven days ago it was the Finnish who won Valtteri Bottas with Mercedes, which today will start from the fourth box on the starting grid. Teammate Lewis Hamilton will start in pole position, the 89th of his career: the world champion is determined to reestablish the usual hierarchies within the Stuttgart team. The British, however, will have to beware of a boarder Max Verstappen, more determined than ever to attempt the feat with a competitive Red Bull: the start and the race strategy will be decisive.
Compared to yesterday, conditioned by thick and copious rains, today the sun will shine all day long. The temperatures, however, will be quite cool, around 20 °: this will allow a lower degradation of the tires and almost all the teams they should only make one stop in the pits. As already happened in the first seasonal appointment, a possible entry of the Safety Car could contribute to overturn the hierarchies and to guarantee a pinch of pepper to the competition.
The Ferrari will have to fish the rabbit from the cylinder to remedy a situation that appears compromised after a qualification to forget. Sebastian Vettel will start tenth, Charles Leclerc even 14th after the three discounted penalty positions for damaging the Russian Daniil Kvyat during Q2. In such circumstances, already placing both drivers in the points zone would be a good result. However, as the history of F1 teaches, surprises and reversals are always around the corner: it will be up to the Ferrari drivers to be able to capitalize on even the slightest opportunity.
The appointment with the race of Styria 2020 GP of F1 it is for 3.10 pm. Don’t miss an update with ours Diretta Live. Have fun!
