Iran blows up fake ‘American’ aircraft carrier during military exercise

Tensions between Iran and the United Streets previously manifested in the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic transit channel for oil tankers.

Iran has now pushed the situation even further to the point. The country had a fake ‘American’ aircraft carrier made and carried out a military exercise in the narrow waterway between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.

During that exercise, such heavy ammunition was used that the US military sharpened two bases in the region.

Extremely realistic

In the end, it turned out to be only an exercise, which was made extremely realistic by the Iranians. The exercise was broadcast on Iranian state television.

The images show how the fake warship – including counterfeit aircraft on the flight deck – is attacked. The Iranians fire rockets at the ‘American’ ship from trucks, boats and helicopters.

The US military says in a response that the military exercise was conducted by the Iranians purely to intimidate. Spokesman Rebecca Rebarich speaks of an “irresponsible and reckless” action.

Offensive and insulting

“The US Navy also conducts exercises,” explains Rebarich. “But they are defensive in nature to increase maritime safety. This exercise by Iran was offensive and insulting.”

Earlier this year, it seemed that war could really break out between Iran and the United States. The situation escalated after the death of an Iranian top general from a US missile attack early this year. The latest development is that Iran wants to arrest US President Trump.
