She would die to save her son, Naya rivera, the star actress of “Glee”. The body recovered yesterday from the waters of Lake Piru in California she is the 33-year-old who passed away last Wednesday during a boat trip with her four-year-old son Josey. Santana Lopez’s character had had a positive impact for teenagers then struggling with doubts about their sexual identity: a role recognized in many comments by the LGBTI community since the day of her disappearance. As said, Naya’s body was found yesterday: it floated on the water. The police revealed that they had a clue that would help with the searches: a photo of little Josey taken during the boat trip and sent to family members showed a cove in the background that had been quickly identified.
By a macabre coincidence, Naya’s body was found on the seventh anniversary of the death of “Glee” co-star Cory Monteith, killed in 2013 in Vancouver, Canada by an overdose of alcohol and heroin: Cory’s tragic disappearance was that of a another protagonist, Mark Salling, with whom Naya had had a relationship between 2017 and 2010, had long since thrown on the Fox show the aura of a curse.
Mark had hanged himself two years ago in Los Angeles a year after being found guilty of possessing pornography
childish. Other early deaths: an assistant director, Jim Fuller, had fallen victim to a heart attack seven years ago, while in 2014 production assistant Nancy Motes, Julia Roberts’ sister, had committed suicide.
