FHM’s plan: Elderly and sick people are vaccinated first

The elderly, the sick and care staff are first in line when the Public Health Agency now draws up the plan for how the vaccinations against covid-19 are to be carried out.

– These are people who are 70 years and older, and then certain groups who have underlying diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure – the type of diseases that can make the covid infection worse, says Sören Andersson, head of the authority’s vaccination program.

Some care staff and staff in elderly care are also given high priority. About 2 million are affected in the first stage.
