Ferrari’s miserable start to the season could lead to heads falling at the head of the stable.
Italian F1 team Ferrari has missed the pace of the top teams in the World Championship series badly in the early part of the season. The stable is aware of its awkward position and is ready for changes in the organization.
IS reported this weekend that the stable boss Mattia Binotton the position falter in Maranello. Binotto commented on Ferrari’s awkward era himself Auto Sport article.
– We already noticed in the Barcelona tests that we were not fast enough, but we did not expect such a difficult situation. Our situation is undeniably worse than expected, Binotto says.
– Now that we have two weeks before the Silverstone race after three consecutive race weekends, it is important that Maranello looks at the car and the organization from all angles. We need to improve whatever it takes.
The early season of Ferrari has been miserable. After the first three races Charles Leclerc is seventh in the World Championships for drivers and Sebastian Vettel the tenth. The legendary stable is fifth in the manufacturers’ series.
The Hungarian GP did little to improve the situation. Vettel still scored sixth, Leclerc was 11th.
The worst bottom quote in the early season was the Styrian GP, where the Maranello Reds collided at the other corner of the track and both drivers had to stop.
The next race in the F1 series, the British GP, will be run at the turn of July-August in Silverstone.
