Important news comes from the group FCA. As it has been assumed for some time, 2021 will be a very important year for the Italian-American group. In the past few hours further confirmations have arrived regarding the debut of new hybrids by Alfa Romeo, Maserati e Jeep. It was the number one of Fiat Chrysler in the EMEA area, Pietro Gorlier, to give these precious confirmations. As for the Biscione car manufacturer, the first plug-in hybrid to arrive will be Alfa Romeo Tonale.

Alfa Romeo, Maserati and Jeep: ibirid plug-ins according to FCA arrive in 2021

Its market debut will take place in the middle of next year. This model will adopt the same propulsion system as the Renegade 4XE, which combines the 1.3 liter petrol engine and an electric motor for maximum power that should be around 250 cavalli. The electrified version of Tonale will therefore debut together with the other versions of the crossover when this finally arrives on the market.

However, this will not be the only plug-in hybrid to arrive on the market in 2021 by FCA. In fact, after the Maserati Ghibli Hybrid debut on July 16 in 2021, we will see the arrival of Jeep Wrangler 4XE, with the same technology as the Tonale, in addition to two hybrid launches in Maserati. We refer to the SUV Levante and the flagship Quattroporte who will receive a plug-in hybrid version next year which will come with the restyling of the two famous cars of the Trident car manufacturer.

So 2021 will be an important year for FCA that thanks to these models of Alfa Romeo, Maserati e Jeep will become more and more protagonist of the electrical revolution taking place in the world of engines. Finally, remember that in the plans of the Italian-American manufacturer there is an intention to electrify the entire range in the coming years.
