Hundreds of Jews ascended this morning (Thursday), the Tisha B’Av fast, to the Temple Mount, and hundreds of other Jews are also waiting outside the mountain gates in the heat and sun waiting to ascend the mountain.
A number of Jews were removed from the Temple Mount by the police after prostrating on the ground towards the Temple Mount and shouting “Shema Yisrael.”
It should be noted that many seek to ascend the Temple Mount on this very day, the fast of Tisha B’Av, in which the people of Israel mourn the destruction of the temples, the first and second.
The temple organizations even called on the public to ascend the Temple Mount on this very day and published a detailed halakhic proclamation on the subject.
Due to the limitations of the corona the police allow at a time a group of only about 20 people to enter the mountain and as a result a high density is created in the waiting queue.
