The Premier League final game is over and the winners and losers of this year are known. For some players it was also their last match in the English highest football class. Among others for Leighton Baines and David Silva.

Veterans David Silva and Leighton Baines played their last match in the Premier League on Sunday evening. The Spanish midfielder made the switch from Valencia and Manchester City in 2010 and played a very nice track record with the Citizens.

Silva played over 300 games in the Premier League and over 400 for Man City. In it, he scored 77 goals and 140 assists. On Sunday evening he received an applause replacement in minute 85, as it would be called in a full stadium.

Leighton Baines had a longer track record in the Premier League. The 35-year-old left back made his professional debut with Wigan and moved to Everton in 2007, where he skimmed the left flank for thirteen years. The English international stores his football boots after 420 performances in the PL.

Jan Vertonghen may also say goodbye to the English league. His contract with Tottenham is about to expire and it is not yet clear where he is going. Another English club is always an option, so it is too early to say that he is saying goodbye to the Premier League.
