8:28 – With reopening extra-Schengen borders 200 flights to Fiumicino
In conjunction with the gradual reopening of non-Schengen international borders, Fiumicino airport is now increasing its total flights between arrivals and departures compared to the previous period. About 200, for an estimated total volume of about 20 thousand passengers. In total, still today, about twenty extra-Schengen departing connections and just as many arriving. Italy has chosen the line of utmost prudence, keeping trust isolation and health surveillance in force for all citizens from non-Schengen countries. The measure also applies to citizens of the 14 countries identified by the EU in the “green list”, from and for whom it is possible to move freely from today. And from this morning, also at the Roman airport, the boarding area E, closed on March 27th due to the multiple cancellations of flights to and from Italy due to the Covid-19 emergency, came back into operation.
