These are the figures – ascertained at 12 noon today on the basis of the requests of the National Civil Protection – relating to the trend of the epidemic in the region.
It should be remembered that starting from 24/06/2020, the Ministry of Health has modified the data collection system on the spread of Covid-19. Positive cases are no longer indicated according to the province of notification but based on the province of residence or domicile.
Below are the cases of positivity in the area with the change compared to yesterday. There are 3,222 total cases to date in Florence (1 more than yesterday), 542 in Prato, 749 in Pistoia, 1,052 in Massa-Carrara, 1,362 in Lucca, 932 in Pisa, 479 in Livorno, 682 in Arezzo, 429 in Siena, 402 in Grosseto. There are 471 positive cases reported in Tuscany, but residing in other regions.
1 more then the cases found today in the Central ASL, 0 in the North West, 0 in the South East.
Tuscany confirms its 10th place in Italy as number of cases (including residents and non-residents), with around 277 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (Italian average around 402 x100,000, yesterday’s figure). The provinces of notification with the highest rate are Massa-Carrara with 540 cases x100,000 inhabitants, Lucca with 351, Florence with 319, the lowest Livorno with 143.
Altogether, 320 people are in solitary confinement at home, as they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment, or are symptom-free (stable compared to yesterday).
I’m 708 (minus 71 compared to yesterday, minus 9.1%) people, also isolated, in active surveillance because they had contacts with infected people (ASL Centro 458, Nord Ovest 180, Sud Est 70).
Today there are 11 people hospitalized in the beds dedicated to COVID patients, (1 more than yesterday plus 10%), of which 3 in intensive care (stable compared to yesterday).
The total number of people healed is 8,869 (stable compared to yesterday): 164 people “clinically cured” (minus 2 compared to yesterday, minus 1.2%), that is, becoming asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with the infection and 8,705 (plus 2 compared to yesterday, plus 0.02%) declared cured in all respects, the so-called viral healings, with double negative buffer.
Today there are no new deaths.
1,122 have died since the beginning of the epidemic divided as follows: 411 in Florence, 52 in Prato, 81 in Pistoia, 171 in Massa-Carrara, 142 in Lucca, 90 in Pisa, 61 in Livorno, 49 in Arezzo, 33 in Siena, 24 in Grosseto, 8 people died on the Tuscan soil but they were residents outside the region.
The raw Tuscan mortality rate (number of deceased / resident population) for Covid-19 is 30.1 x100,000 residents against 57.9 x100,000 of the Italian average (11th region). As for the provinces, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa-Carrara (87.7 x100,000), Florence (40.6 x100,000) and Lucca (36.6 x100,000), the lowest in Grosseto (10.8 x100,000).
