The Home Front Command’s Corona headquarters, which will coordinate the epidemiological investigation system, will begin operating in the middle of next week, in the city of Ramla, News 12 reported tonight (Thursday).
In the first phase, the headquarters will include more than 1,000 researchers, some of whom will come from the Ministry of Health to the new system. It is not yet clear how many of the 300 workers currently employed in the epidemiological investigation system will move to the new headquarters.
It is later planned to recruit foreign-speaking researchers who can turn to specific populations such as ultra-Orthodox or foreign workers, in a kind of “sub-headquarters” that will work in cooperation with local authorities. This array will utilize the benefits and capabilities of the Home Front Command to reach these populations more effectively.
