The esteemed U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginzburg, 87, is suffering from cancer for the second time in her life. An official statement issued by a court spokeswoman said she was undergoing chemotherapy to treat cancer, in addition to the many medical problems she has been suffering from in recent years.

A statement from Ginzburg said she had been diagnosed with liver cancer. According to her, chemotherapy treatments achieve positive results that improve her condition. “I have announced several times that I will remain a Supreme Court justice as long as I can do my job fully and optimally,” Ginzburg announced. “I stayed in that state.”
