The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov denied information that the hijacker of the bus in Lutsk was being treated in a mental hospital.
Earlier, as reported by the media, the police said that the hijacker of the bus was being treated in a psychiatric institution.
“You spread the information that this comrade was being treated in a mental hospital – this is false information,” the minister said during a briefing in Lutsk.
According to RIA Novosti, the broadcast was hosted by the NewsOne TV channel.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, commenting on the situation, said that the situation in Lutsk, where a man seized a bus with hostages, is under control, negotiations are underway with the invader.
