A 20-year-old woman was killed this afternoon (Tuesday) in a rollover of a vehicle on Route 40, from the area Mitzpe Ramon Heading south. MDA medics and paramedics who were called to the scene were forced to determine her death on the spot.
Another young man in his 20s was lightly injured and sought medical treatment at Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva. Police said that after a preliminary investigation in the field, it appears that it was probably a self-inflicted accident.

Senior MDA paramedic Alex Bohdana said: “When we arrived at the scene, we saw the vehicle upside down in the area on the side of the road, with the wounded lying unconscious with a multi-system injury at a great distance from the car, and passers-by performing basic resuscitation operations.

“We performed medical tests and continued the medical treatment, which included advanced resuscitation operations, but her injury was critical so in the end we had to determine her death. Another young man who was lightly injured in the accident was treated on the ground and taken to hospital.”

As stated, the police said that a preliminary investigation by police officers at the scene revealed that it was most likely a self-inflicted car accident of one of the vehicles involved, but the investigation is ongoing.

This morning A cyclist was killed On Road 375 south of Jerusalem. The circumstances of her death are unclear and the possibility of losing control is being investigated. Police traffic inspectors were called to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
