“Today we are considering the possibility of creating a kind of universal engine using the components of previous engines in order to obtain higher technical characteristics,” RIA Novosti quotes him.
Semivelichenko explained that this universal engine will be able to be installed on the Su-27, Su-30 and Su-35 without modifying the airframe.
“There is such an order from the Ministry of Defense, we are conducting this work,” he said.
Earlier in Russia they tested an electric motor based on superconductivity technologies.
