The 43-year-old man was found “lifeless in a pool of blood” with “bruising on his face, a large bruise on the back of the skull and a bleeding wound under his neck”.

An investigation was opened after the discovery of the body of a man in Aubervilliers, Seine-Saint-Denis, with bruises on his face, blood staining his apartment and up to the gates of his building, we learned Friday from corroborating sources.

An apartment that was not locked

The victim, 43, was found “inanimate in a pool of blood,” a police source said. The man presented “bruises on the face, a large bruise on the back of the skull and a bleeding wound under the neck”. The macabre discovery was made Thursday evening at around 10 p.m. by the owner of the accommodation, who explained that he had gone there as a result of unpaid bills and entered the studio which was not locked.

“No lead is ruled out”

Blood stains stained the walls of the apartment and other traces were discovered from the landing to the gate of the residence, according to this source. “An autopsy has been ordered” and “no track has been ruled out”, said the Bobigny prosecutor’s office.
