DO YOU RECOGNIZE HER – In the last part of 2020 the production of the new one will start Opel Mokka, a compact crossover that will replace that production exit last year. In view of the debut, the German house provides some more details on the style and anticipates how the new mask will be, called Opel Vizor, which will become a strong element of style for the Mokka and all future cars of the German house.

INTEGRATE THE HEADLIGHTS – Designed by the internal team led by Mark Adams, the new Vizor mask Opel Mokka is inspired by that of the 2018 GT X Experimental prototype, which in turn re-elaborates the front of the 1970 Manta coupe in a modern key. The distinctive element is the extended and thin masculine that develops horizontally and integrates not only the logo of the German house, but also the small LED headlights (also of the matrix type) with wing-shaped position lights. The frame of the mask is chromed.

SIDE SCREENS – The bridge of the Opel Mokka of the 2021, anticipated by a first sketch, it follows the trends of the moment, because it has the main instrument screen alongside the touch screen for the multimedia system: the impression is of continuity and minimalism, because the physical controls will be almost completely absent. The side-by-side arrangement of the screens, called the Opel Pure Panel, will also be taken up by the future cars of the German company.

START WITH ELECTRICITY – The second generation of the Opel Mokka, as seen from the spy photos (you see them here), will have more sculpted shapes and more tense lines than the old model, which will help make it appear more slender. It will be built on the basis of the CMP platform (also known as EMP1) and will share the mechanics with other models of the PSA group, in particular the DS 3 Crossback and Peugeot 2008, therefore it will be able to house the 4-cylinder 1.5 diesel and 1.5 3-cylinder 1.2 petrol engines. , in addition to the electric. Precisely this will be the first to arrive on the market, in early 2021.
