Our regular readers will surely already know Waze, one of the most popular browsing apps – purchased by Google a few years ago – which over time has been able to create a large community of users. Just to celebrate the passing the milestone of 130 million Wazers, the app today receives a major update that brings a totally renewed design, a new visual language for maps and many new “moods”.
All the news are the result of collaboration with the community which was consulted using ways to get to redefine the appearance of the app. Waze, being spread on Android and iOS, is enriched with a palette of bright colors that want to suggest fun and inclusiveness. But another important novelty is represented by the new “moods”, more than 30 to which more will be added soon.

The operation was happily described by Jake Shaw, Head of Creative of Waze: “This restyling visually embodies the unique experience that Waze offers. We have developed a new format for our map, introduced new Moods to capture the infinite series of emotions that we all experience while driving and created a lively palette of colors to celebrate the joy that we always try to bring on the road. ”
