New Zealand, Apec 2021 summit will be online
The 2021 edition of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC), scheduled in Auckland, will be virtual due to travel risks during the coronavirus pandemic. New Zealand announced it today. “Given the current global situation, it is not possible to receive a large number of high profile visitors to the country,” said Foreign Minister Winston Peters. Over 20,000 people had to travel to New Zealand for the Apec summit in November 2021.
