The first notebooks with 11th generation Intel Core CPUs appear online

The debut of the Intel’s next generation of Core family processors intended for low consumption notebook systems now seems to be a matter of weeks: a clear signal in this direction comes from a Dutch retailer, Centralpoint (source: IThome), which has listed some Acer Swift 5 notebooks based on processors of the Tiger Lake family, with availability indicated starting from 27 July.
Interesting prices, less than € 1,000and therefore aligned with what is required for proposals of similar technical characteristics now available on the market. These are thin notebooks, equipped with a 14-inch diagonal screen with 16GB of system memory and storage via 512GB or 1TB SSD.

The new models are based on processors Core i5-1135G7 is Core i7-1165G7, 4 core and 8 threads proposals based on the new Tiger Lake architecture and built with 10 nanometer production technology. These processors will gradually take the place of the 10th generation Ice Lake ones now on the market.
The peculiarity of these new CPUs is to match new core of the Willow Cove family with integrated GPU which for the first time belongs to Xe Gen12 family. Just a few days ago, with this news, we reported how Intel showed the performance obtainable with Battlefield V using one of the new notebooks of the Tiger Lake family.

The new notebooks based on 11th generation Intel CPUs they will be in direct competition with those AMD based on Ryzen 4000 CPU. The latter integrate up to a maximum of 8 cores, combined with the video subsystem of the Vega family. It will certainly be a very interesting clash, with Intel expected to provide a clear leap forward in terms of speed performance with 3D applications thanks to the use of the new GPU with Xe architecture.
